[CLOSED] Tester call for Crochet: Coco the Cactopus

Hi everyone and welcome to my first tester call!

Of course, I couldn’t help but offer one of my cactus fiber friends… with a twist :octopus:

Let me introduce you to Coco the Cactopus :cactus::octopus:

End date: February 14 (I have added 3 days)

Pattern release: February 15

Requirements

:cactus: No specific yarn required

You can use whatever yarn you already have, but when applying, please let me know in the comments what yarn and hook you plan to use.

:octopus: Skill level: advanced beginner / intermediate

The pattern itself is not difficult, but I wouldn’t recommend testing it if you have never worked amigurumi before.

:cactus: Group chat communication

I will create a dedicated group chat. Please post all questions and pattern feedback there.

:octopus: Journal use

You may include photos and your general feedback about the pattern in your journal. Please do not include pattern portions.

:cactus: Pattern use

It is forbidden to resell, copy, or redistribute the pattern received by testers.

:octopus: Final photos

Once finished, please share a photo of your Cactopus in the group chat, preferably high quality, as I’d love to use the pictures for a tester appreciation post.

:cactus: No ghosting

If you apply, please commit to completing the test or let me know if any issues come up.

:octopus: Time zone note

I am based in Italy, so my time zone is different. If I don’t reply to messages immediately, please be patient as it may be night here.

Oh I would love to test this cactopus :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes:

I have a lot of bulky microfibre yarn that would make it super plushy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

So cute! I would use worsted with probably a 3.75 or 4.0 hook.

Hi dear, I’m thinking to close the tester call tomorrow and then there’s time until February 11 to crochet Coco. The pattern is pretty quick to make, but if one of my testers need more time, I can give more time

She is too cuuute! I love octopuses! :octopus: I have #4 yarn in enough colors and would use a 4mm hook with it. Amigurumi are my bread and butter, so no worries there. Would love to test! :cactus:

Now I can see your previous message, for some reason it was blocked earlier. With which type of yarn you would test?

Precious! I love your Cactopus idea and your photos are beautiful! I would be happy to test for you. I would use worsted weight acrylic yarn in similar colors with a 3.5 mm hook.
