Groundhog Day is always celebrated on February 2nd every year in the United States and Canada, as a tradition stemming from Candlemas Day and German folklore, where a groundhog’s shadow predicts more winter or an early spring.
I originally made this groundhog last year because I was inspired by my neighbor who celebrates the day with a growing collection of groundhog plushies!
This groundhog requires a bit of sewing (ears, legs, hat, tail, bow tie).
You may use any yarn type and color you prefer! Why not have a colorful groundhog?!
Due Date: 1/31/26 (would like to have it released before groundhog day )
Additional Requirements: Comment below with what yarn you plan to use along with a to let me know you read everything!
Will be free when released!
No ghosting! If chosen for testing, be looking for a group chat notification.
I’m working on another test right now but it shouldn’t take me long to finish it. I have some hardware coming for that one tomorrow to finish part of it and by this weekend I should be done with it.
I would use chenille yarn with a 5 or 6mm hook depending on what size yarn I end up using.
So cute! If i am selected I am going to use Red Heart Super Saver yarn size 4 medium in the color Monet. I think he will look awesome in the blues and purples and yellow colors swirled throughout this color
