[Closed] Tester call for Crochet: Horace the Hermit Crab

I need testers for my Horace the Hermit Crab - Crochet ePattern
Due Date: 28th November 2024
Additional Requirements:
I’m looking for a few testers to test Horace the hermit crab. I’ve made Horace using Aran/worsted weight yarn, but he looks good in dk weight too :orange_heart:

The crab is pretty straightforward, though the eyes can be a little fiddley, the head and body is one piece, with the 4 legs, the large claws and the eyes sewn onto it. There is a little embroidering, for the smile.

The shell is made in two parts, the first is the main shell and the second is attaching and making a pouch for the crab to sit in.

Yarn:
Aran/worsted weight: you will need a 4mm hook and 9mm or 10mm safety eyes - around 35g of yarn for the crab and 40g for the shell, stuffing.

DK weight: you will need a 3.5mm hook and 6mm safety eyes - less than 35g/40g yarn for both the crab and shell, stuffing.

If you’d like to apply to test Horace, link below – and please put in the comments which yarn you would use.
Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

A hermit crab has been on my list of next patterns to make! This looks great and would love to test! I can do this in acrylic or plush (would eventually make in each).

I’d love to test! I’d be using medium weight acrylic yarn in color similar to yours, and a 3.25 mm hook!

I mean this is something I pretty much free handed yesterday that’s WAY better than the stuff in my journal

I would love to test this in worsted weight, though I want to try it in Bernat blanket as well. I am happy to do either for the test.
