I would love to test, I would be using a plush yarn size 6 wiht a 5mm hook.
This is such a nifty idea, I think colour wise I may make a couple of different ones if you are happy with variations, like if the last two rows at the top of the cup change colour it will look like the drink has been started… or is part full.
