Kuromi and My Melody

Hi friends! :yarn::sparkles:

I’m looking for testers for my new Kuromi and My Melody crochet patterns. Both patterns require minimal assembly—just sew the head to the body and attach the hood to the head with a couple of stitches (and for My Melody, you’ll also need to sew on her little tail :paw_prints:).

These two patterns are almost identical, except for the way the legs are made, so you’ll actually get both patterns as a gift! :wrapped_gift: (After testing, I’ll split them into two separate patterns.)

For Kuromi, I used a 4 mm hook and Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn in white, purple, and pink :thread::purple_heart::growing_heart:. For My Melody, I used a 3.25 mm hook and Himalaya Dolphin Fine yarn in white, light peach, and yellow :peach::yellow_heart:. Both toys are stuffed and use safety noses (18x13 mm and 10x8 mm) instead of eyes :rabbit_face:. I also used white cotton sport weight yarn for sewing the head, black cotton yarn for embroidering the mouth, and a tapestry needle.

I’ll need about 4–5 days to finish up the pattern and select testers. Once everyone is added to the group chat, you’ll have two weeks to complete the test :alarm_clock:. The deadline countdown will start when all testers have access to the chat.

My. Jaw. DROPPED. when I saw this pop up in my notifications… I. would. LOVE TO TEST FOR YOU!!! I will probably do My Melody, since I feel like I won’t finish Kuromi in time lol. I will do her in general but probably after I tested My Melody. Anywho enough with that, I will use Big Twist white plush yarn and Big twist teddy bear yarn in Peach/shrimp or Pink (idk the color cause I don’t have the yarn on me) and Yellow/sunshine. THANK YOU FOR CREATING THESE CUTIES! I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED TO MAKE THIS PATTERN! (Even though idk if I’ll be picked lol) :grin::pink_heart::purple_heart:

I’d love to test it for you! But I can test my melody since I have the colours, I can’t have purple rn :face_holding_back_tears: is it possible to test only my melody or must I test them both?

I’d love to test them with weight 4 yarn and a 4.5mm hook so adorable!

These are SO cute! I would love to test this! I have some students who would be obsessed with these (I sometimes make toys as incentives lol) That’s so creative to use noses instead of eyes for the shape.

I would love to test for you! I know I’m new here on Ribblr but I have been crocheting since I was a kid, and have a lot of experience pattern adjusting, which I think helps a lot with feedback. I like to use chunky chenille yarn as a lot of other yarn types cause eczema flare ups for me. I have both purple and black for kuromi, and all the colours for my melody. My little sister just asked me the other day if I would make her a kuromi or keroppi and then this popped up!
