This friendly no sew leprechaun fidget pattern is ready for testing! In Big Twist Posh yarn this works up to be 4" tall extending to 5" when extended.
I’m looking for some lucky testers to help me with this pattern!
Edit: Testing Pool now closed. Thank you to all who replied and applied
My husband came up with the concept of a popping leprechaun, and I do believe this pattern is worth a pot-of-gold.
Additional Requirements:
*Skill level needed: Intermediate as there are many color changes and 2 different BBL stitches
*Time to crochet: I made my third one this morning in around 40 minutes
*Due date: March 5th
*Yarn type and color Requirements: None! Just let me know what size yarn and hook you will be using. The Big Twist Posh yarn I use will soon be non-existent due to Joann’s closing, so I’d love to see how this pattern works up in other yarn brands.
* Please post a journal with a good quality photo. I’d love to know how well the leprechaun “pops” in the yarn you choose.
Such a cute pattern! That’s a great idea. I’d use a medium 4 weight yarn and a 4mm hook. But I’d also want to make one in a heavier 5 or 6 yarn. Either big twist like yours or premier chunky if it comes in on time.
I’m still new at this, so I don’t know how to tag someone generally, and I’ve never released a pattern before (this is my first) so I don’t know what screen I’d tag someone in upon releasing. Do I make a separate announcement on the chat somewhere when I release this pattern? Or is it automatic when I hit the live button that a release announcement is made?
If you help me figure out how, I’d totally tag you.
This is just the cutest! I love to make pop-it things and would love to test this! I also like to use posh yarn (and have started hoarding it lol) with a 5mm hook, but could also make this in parfait chunky.
Thanks! I had already considered if leprechauns could be made with varying skin tones. They are an Irish legend, so I used Strawberry Shortcake from Big Twist Posh. I personally think the classic leprechauns would be tickled pink to welcome brothers from other races. Think of the additional mischief to be had!
That said, green skin might look more zombie than alien. ;)
This pattern will be a paid pattern. (Still deciding on price, however.)
There really isn’t another pop-it leprechaun to be found, so I worked extra hard to make this one awesome. It’s my first pattern release, but I am an experienced crocheter.
I already have 3 or 4 other patterns I have written, I just need the time to add them to Ribblr. I plan on at least half of my patterns to be free, as I personally have benefitted from free patterns of awesome designers and would love to join them in giving back.
