[CLOSED]Tester call for Crochet: Sorin the Bundled Birdy

I need testers for my Sorin the Bundled Birdy - Crochet ePattern
Due Date: 2026-01-30T07:00:00Z

Hello again, everyone! :bird::scarf:
I’m looking for 6-8 pattern testers to ensure that Sorin is ready for his big debut! There are 3 versions of this bundled birdy that I need tested:

  1. All worsted-weight yarn (birdy & accessories)

  2. Plush birdy (weight 5 yarn) and worsted-weight accessories

  3. All plush yarn, any size (birdy & accessories)

If you’d like apply, here’s what I’m looking for:

:sparkles: Create a project journal with at least one finished photo (natural lighting is always appreciated!). I am planning on sharing these photos on my socials once the pattern is released, so finished photos will also need to be shared in the chat.
:sparkles: Share your thoughts and feedback in the group chat—things like typos, unclear wording, or anything that could make the pattern easier to follow.
:sparkles: Stay active in our group chat and reply as quickly as you can, as I check in through the testing process. I will try to do the same. :+1:
:sparkles: Send a quick response to the welcome message within 2 days to confirm you’re still on board. If I don’t hear back, I’ll assume life got busy and open the spot to someone else.

Testing Info:

:scarf: Skill level: Confident Beginner/ Intermediate

:scarf: Specific Skills: There is some sewing in this pattern, so having a bit of experience with that will help! Accessory pieces can also be modified to adjust sizing, so being comfortable measuring as you go and making adjustments is a big plus.

:scarf: Yarn, hook, & colors: As mentioned at the beginning of this post, there are 3 versions of Sorin that I’d like tested: All worsted, plush birdy & worsted accessories, and all plush (in any size). This will help to make decisions about sizing instructions throughout the pattern.

:scarf: Largest Stitch Counts: 26 around for the body

Original Pattern Materials:

:bird: Low-Pil (weight 4) in 5-6 colors

:bird: 3.5 mm hook

:bird: 6 mm safety eyes

:bird: Stuffing, stitch markers, scissors

If you’ve read all the info, go ahead and comment what version of Sorin you’d like to test, Instagram handle (if you have one), and a bird emoji :bird: so I know you’ve read and understand the requirements! If you don’t complete this step, your application won’t be considered for testing.

I’ll be choosing testers this Wednesday (2026-01-21T07:00:00Z)

This is so cute!

I can do an all worsted-weight birdie with a 4.0mm hook!
I could do one in bulky size 6 plush yarn instead if needed.

hii i love how cute this is! i could do any of the 3 whatever has the least amount of testers! for worsted weight i would use various acrylics with a 4mm hook, for the plush with worsted weight accesories i would use a hobby lobby weight 5 chenille and probably these tiny mini skeins of worsted weight with whatever hook i see fit when i start working on it, and then for the all chenille i would use a hobby lobby chenille for all of it with a 4.5mm hook for all of this i would use the colors white, brown, and yellow for accesories! thanks for considering! :bird: :bird: :bird: oh and i dont have instagram!

I would LOVE to test for you! I can do the plush Birdy with a 4.0 hook! I have acrylic yarn that’s very similar to worsted yarn if you would like me to do that too! My mom would love this lol.

Sorin is so so cute!:orange_heart: I want to apply, but I am currently in the middle of some projects that could really use my attention  I hope everything goes smoothly in testing!

I’m pretty new to Ribblr, but this is really cute and I’d love to test it out! I would have to do the worsted weight as I haven’t gotten any plush yarns yet (fairly new to crochet as well if you want a semi-beginner to test). I don’t have an insta.

Thanks! :bird:

I would love to test! I would use acrylic yarn with a 3mm hook, or I could make it in cozy cub with a 4mm hook. And for colors I’m not quite sure cuz I’m not home rn but they would definitely be earthy tones :bird:

I would love to test a plushy Sorin with worsted weight acc essories. I’d use bulky chenille yarn and a 4 or 4.25mm hook for Sorin and petite purl yarn with a 3.5mm for Sorin’s accessories :bird:. I can do the other versions of Sorin if needed

Hey! This pattern is so cute, but I’m sadly not able to test. I was wondering if this pattern will be free or paid once released!

It will be free for a while after release before it’s listed as a paid pattern. I can tag you in the relase, if you’d like! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I would be honored to help test!

I would use a white and brown for the body and some kind of muted colour?? for the clothes,

I would use the apropreit hook for the yarn as I can do any, what ever spots are still open.

(plush is my fav)

I love this pattern gl!!

:black_bird::black_bird: (idk if that emoji counts but I didnt have the blue bird)

He is adorable and I would love to test ! I would use an acrylic yarn which is the closest one I got to worsted with a 3.5mm hook. And I could do any colors but probably would use a white and brown for body and a green for accessories and any of his styles are fine! :bird: Also I don’t have a instagram account but here is some projects . I free handed the purple guy and used a pattern for the bag!
