[closed] Tester call for Crochet: Stacking and Fidget Macaron Cats

Read the entire post before applying and do all requirements, or you will not be chosen.

Hi everyone! I need testers for my 2-in-1 Macaron Cat patterns! This design is part of my kids creation series and is 2 different designs from 2 different girls who both thought up macaron cats! These are the same girls who brought you taco cat, bee lion, shadow/wind dragon, and cloud dragon! Along with others and even more to come. There is the stacking macaron cats, as well as the standing one which is a fidget toy pattern!

:cat: This is a confident beginner pattern. The stacking macaron cats are no-sew and the fidget standing cat is low-sew with the only sewing involving attaching the pieces together in fidget fashion. YOU WILL NEED 10 BEADS OR BUTTONS if you choose to apply to the fidget cat. These should be SMALL, especially if you intend to use thin yarn. There is not much space for them inside these limbs. There is an alternate option to only make the body a fidget and not the legs which reduces the buttons/beads needed. Pony beads should work. Don’t apply if you don’t think you can handle this!

:moon_cake: Due date is January 31st. Do not apply if you can’t meet the time please. I’ll be picking 6-8 testers on 1/17, depending on how many apply.

:cat: No ghosting or aborting with no reason! If you need to quit, just tell me. I’ll be checking in occasionally. Ghosts will be removed and likely will be blocked from future tests.

:moon_cake: There are no yarn requirements. Whatever kind or color does not bother me as long as you follow the pattern.

:cat: If you’re new to ribblr or don’t have any makes, feel free to show photos of your favorite makes below to show off your skills

:moon_cake: If you’ve read all this, state whether you would like to do the standing fidget cat, or the stacking cats. Also put your yarn type and hook size in the comments a long with a bread emoji.

Could you provide an example of what you the beads should look like and/or what they’re used for? I

Pony beads would work. They’re used to secure body parts instead of sewing them on. You can choose to sew the body parts on instead but you lose fidget function. I have a ton of tiny wooden buttons so I’ve been using those up instead of beads

Can I be a tester for one of the upright cats? I would like to use a worsted weight yarn and a 4.00 mm hook:bread::croissant::baguette_bread:

Ahh, I see. Unfortunately, I don’t have that type of bead (nor button), so not this time. The cats are adorable tho! Glwt!

I would like to do standing fidget cat using thin chenille with 2.5mm hook.:bread:

I would love to test the stacking cats! :bread:

I will use a 4,5 mm hook and a chenille yarn ( I’m not sure if it’s actually chenille )

Would love to test for you again! Can make either but standing one is my favorite. Or if had time would make both. Would use either chenille with 2.25mm hook or velvet yarn 3.5mm hook if chosen. Already have multiple size beads also.

I would love to test both. I haven’t done anything with the buttons, but if it’s a beginner pattern I think I should be alright. I use Alize Velluto with a 7 mm hook and have a wide range of colors  :bread:

I would love to do the standing fidget cat!!! Here are a few of my makes. I would use a velvet yarn/ plush yarn and a 5.5-6.5mm hook!

Would these doll joins work in place of beads? I’ve been planning to try them out and I feel like this would be a good time for that.

Edit: deciding to apply regardless of the answer. I do have a range of beads. :winking_face_with_tongue: I’d like to test the standing fidget cat.:bread: I have a wide range of chenille of which I have some saved on my stash here but I’m still working on some of it. I’d use either a 5mm or 6mm hook depending on which one I end up using.

If I have enough extra time(and my wrist cooperate) I’d like to also make the stacking set (or I could make them first if you need more to test that set) they’re both so cute. :star_struck:

They would! I had actually thought of that myself but I figured I should use up my huge button stash I got for free first lol. I would love to see how well those would work though!

Thinking about it, I’m actually now not sure because of how it’s built  they probably won’t with the current way it’s built. Would need to fix how the legs and tail are built to make it work  we could talk about it if you still wanted to try though
