[Closed] Tester call for Crochet: Vine Garland

I need testers for my Vine Garland - Crochet ePattern

Looking for 3-4 people to test my pattern. Will be choosing testers Friday May 8th. This is a pretty quick and easy pattern. The garland itself is easily customizable. You can change the length, leaf count, etc.

Due Date: May 15th.

Additional Requirements: You must be active in chat (Even if it’s just liking a message), a journal with a nice photo must be posted once the project is complete before I will gift the pattern.

Any yarn size, type, or color can be used. I used 4 weight and a 3.5mm hook, my garland ended up being roughly 3 feet long. I completed my garland in about an hour and a half, with cats trying to steal my yarn lol which is why I’m doing a shorter testing length. Just to make sure everything got read, to be chosen as a tester tell me how you’d decorate with your garland. On a bookshelf? Bordering a mirror? Or like what I did and throw in some fairy lights and make your own crochet photo booth?

:leaf_fluttering_in_wind::leaf_fluttering_in_wind::leaf_fluttering_in_wind: i would love to test! i would use variegated fingering weight superwash merino with a 2.75mm hook.

the yarn i would want to use is still shipping, and idk when it will arrive, so i will let you know if i will be able to complete it by the due date (i’ll attach a photo of it)

i have currently set up an art trade with my old theater teacher, and i think she would love this (im crocheting her something and she is making me a custom tote to carry my wips and yarn around in)

I intend to decorate a door frame, combining it with some flowers

Ignore the lodge, it was meant to be love.

I would love to test! I would make a variation of pinks, purples, and mint green to work my stash of yarn. I have a bed frame that I plan to decorate by hanging this with command hooks and have hanger clips to attach notes and photos and other items.

I plan on using a 5 mm hook :revolving_hearts:

I wish I could test this, I’m redoing my room and would love crochet decorations. Unfortunately, because of that, I won’t get good photos and I procrastinate a lot… Could you tag me in the release instead please? And glwt!

Not a problem at all! I’ll add you to my tagging list.

This would be perfect for my daughters’ ballet costume. They need greenery like vines on their costume and they both have texture issues. If I could make a couple vines to put on their costume it would be absolutely perfect for their sensory processing and dance costume requirements. I have various earthy greens and browns already too. I would test with one of those colors. With a 4mm hook.

As a former dancer through childhood, I would have LOVED for my mom to make attachments for my costumes!! :face_holding_back_tears: And this literally seems like the perfect addition, because who doesn’t love vine garland?! (Lowkey my dad was always the one sewing my costumes back together because mom couldn’t sew  )

Same in my household. Dad always made our Halloween costumes lol.

Right! We were talking with the teacher and the teacher was telling us we had to craft! Craft! To make the costumes and make the girls look like wood nymphs ish. We were going in one direction and the girls were more like garden fairies, then today she was like now more mother earth/lost boys wood nymphs more earthy with vines and leaves and less put together and more scrappy. My texture sensitive girls eyes went huge when she brought vines out as an example. Not even 3 minutes later I was scrolling and saw this tester call. I showed one daughter since the other was practicing a dance…she said yes yes please that is much better please apply now please.

This teacher loves to craft costumes and it is so fun what the girls put together. This year we were just going in a wrong direction for a bit. Glad we found out before it was too late.
I have hand sewn individual jewels on bustles, gears on vests for steampunk themes, dyed pointe shoes, hot glued bite size candy bars onto ball caps…it has been a wild ride and it has been so fun. I will be sad when it is over and will have to put all this crafting knowledge to use in some other way.
