Hey, I’m not gonna name names but I found a pattern that is copied from a small business owner. The design that I’m worried about being copyrighted is not crochet (it is a fabric plush turned crochet pattern) idk if this is serious or not but I would like some info.

So one is a stuffed fabric plush and the other is a crochet version of it?

Is the fabric plush based on a copyrighted or trademarked image? Such as Disney, Sanrio, Harry Potter etc. ? Then the plushie designer needs to get official permission from the trademark or copyright owner for the fabric plushie pattern
If not, if the designer created their own image, idea, images etc. then the fabric plushie designer would have to consult a competent intellectual property lawyer and have them properly advise the plushie designer

If it’s her own design, my advice stands. An intellectual property lawyer would have to advise her on whether the crochet version is possible infringement or not. Anyone here can only guess
