Hello lovely Ribbot army!
So the title which is incredibly vague because I don’t know what to title it! I want to start this thing after I shared this story where I will start sharing advice/tips on how to do with common things and issues. Leave stuff in the comments that you would like advice for <3 (also a title I’m begging you)
This weeks tip is burnout!
Some common warning signs of burnout:
persistent exhaustion even with rest, increased irritability
loss of interest in activities
difficulty concentrating
a decline in overall performance
The best thing you can do to help burnout is take a break but we all know that isn’t an option so here is what I did to help me and can hopefully help you <3
Step one: lay in bed and figure out which of 1000 things could be causing it is
Step two: this part is hard but eat healthier foods. Helps your brain be properly nurtured and work (woah )
Step three: go to bed or at least lay in bed at a normal time. Once again allowing brain to reset is good
Step four: allow yourself time. don’t force yourself into anything (0/10 just made it worse)
Step five: Take it step by step. Don’t just plan it out like okay ill do this then this then this. No bad bonk, you must go step by step in each large project. For example write sentence stems for essays, create bullet points for when you have lots of assignments.
Step six: talk to someone. It could be me or some friends, it could be an AI therapist (only time i approve of AI), it could be a real one, I don’t care just talk to something.
Burnout is scary, it’s a time where everything you loved is stripped away from you and replaced with exhaustion. You don’t feel real anymore, you are this creature working nonstop with no real feelings or emotions. It’s possible to get through it with the proper resources. Take a break, if it’s for an hour, a day, or a week, just take a breather. You matter more than what ever is causing you so much stress it causes you to loose, you.
also ignore the fact that when this was posted it was in fact not friday where I live
