Crochet cat beanie problem (Lesson 1.1 in crochet)

Hello Ribblr family! I was following a tutorial for a crochet cat ear beanie from Tianey Assata on YouTube. I was confused because I didn’t have enough stitches and my stitches were too tight. If you followed this tutorial as well, you might’ve had a problem chaining 51, 52 or 56 like she did. The reason that she chained that amount is because she had an INLINE crochet hook. Inline crochet hooks tend to make your stitches looser. I didn’t have any so I used a 6 MM crochet hook for my beanie. The inline crochet hook tends to make your project looser. Just giving a little mini lesson! :3

These are inline hooks

Inline hooks tend to be “sharper” than the usual tapered crochet hooks we use. Tapered crochet hooks have more of a smoother top to it and smoother hook (the pointy part underneath. My mom always called it the dinosaurs mouth :t_rex:)

These are our usual tapered crochet hooks
