Crochet hook is so annoying

How do you get your crochet hook to stop squeaking when using plush yarn :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

You have to loosen your tension just a bit. This happens to me all the time. I’m honestly used to it by now though!:yellow_heart:

You could try some silicone spray.

or if you have a bar of soap, you can try wiping it on your crochet hook. that helps for me :heart_hands:

That happens to me before. so I bought another set of hooks and it doesn’t happen anymore. For me it usually only squeaks when I’m using Bernat Baby Blanket yarn.

Okay so this might sound weird but rub your crochet hook in your hair in your scalp the grease makes the hook not squeak and I’ve been doing this for the longest time and it’s never made my hook squeak.

What kind of crochet hook do you use? Grips or aluminium? ( Sorry if I got the thing name wrong lol )

It squeaks if it’s cold, so just do a little more crochet and it should warm up and stop squeaking

Do you think I could use butter lol :joy::joy::joy:

ONG I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS:sob::sob::sob: (which is all da time) for me it happens when my hands get sweaty (I have extra sweat glands on my hands apparently which is da worst being a crocheter :sob:) so I usually just put my hands under some cold water, let em dry, and then it’s not squeaky anymore :))
