Crochet/knitted toys/games for cats 🧶

Hey dear yarn besties!!

So I got my baby girl Lemon, she’s 9 months now and a little disaster. She LOVES playing and that’s adorable.

I wanna make her yarn toys she can play with but I don’t know what to do at all. I don’t have patterns or idea so I need you all’s help hehe. I don’t know what yarn to use neither. I want something she can play more than once with. I am not really looking for mice cause she has a lot of mice toys. Around 15 already that she put EVERYWHERE in the house (even in my bed xD).

What can I do? She loves when I throw her mice toys around. Do maybe any of you have ideas about toys I could make her that I can throw and pull back toward me so she can run after it? She would love it hehe.

Thanks <3 (Pics of the little demon because you all need to see how pretty my baby is :3)

Maybe you could do something like this? Remember not to use safety eyes though! They can be a choking hazard.

awww, absolutely adorable!

I’ve seen some sardine patterns floating around, im sure you could attach those to string so you could pull them back.

I don’t have a cat, I have a fish, but I have seen some sources also saying not to stuff it with polyfill, but rather with catnip grass.

good luck!

Please be careful when making pet toys from yarn.

Just so they can be our friends for a long life

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend making her toys! It’s a health hazard

i don’t have a specific pattern, but i just wanted to stress the importance of not using safety eyes or polyfill. safety eyes can easily come loose and be choked on, and polyfill can also get lodged in your cats throat or stomach. (your cat is adorable btw) also, if you’re going to make her toys, make sure you try to watch her when she plays with them so that she doesn’t have a chance to tear them apart and choke on string.

Your cats is so cute! My cat loves this toy

It requires somone to play with the cat but that fine because i wouldn’t leave my cat unsupervised with a crocheted toy, as some other people have said :)
