Crochet New Year Resolutions!

Hey everyone! Happy New Year :tada::clinking_glasses::fireworks: To bring in the new year I thought it would be fun to share our new year resolutions for crochet! Do you plan on learning a new technique or stitch? Do you plan on trying micro crochet or maybe tunisian?

My resolution is to finish the designs/WIPs I’ve already started! That will keep me busy for a while  I also want to make my 1st dress :dress: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

What are you planning or hoping to try?

Try not to stress as much when I work on my critters series  I always feel like I make it more stressful than it really is :joy:

Tunisian sounded interesting when I first learned about it, so maybe try a project with it

Definitely plan on reworking and editing my current patterns :joy:

I would love to finish some of the projects I started and never got around to finishing. I have way too many of those! :grimacing::woman_facepalming:t3:

Get through as many designs as possible, and maybe get through half my blanket

This year, I’m going to feign confidence and design a few projects that have been sitting in my head and try to get them onto paper and into yarn (and maybe onto Ribblr?) :face_with_peeking_eye: much more confident as a tester than as a designer

…and maybe do some more knitting-pattern testing? I haven’t done as much knitting in the past few years, and feel like I’m still a “beginner,” even though I learned how to knit in middle school… over 30 years ago…

I’m planning to try mosaic. I already have a couple patterns that I want to try. Of course I’m probably starting out about 3 levels too high but failing is how I succeed :joy::joy:

I’ve been saying to organize and list my stash, finish WIPs and patterns 1/2 done, and then … I saw a video on Craftsy for Bruges Crochet circular motif …

Realistically, I hope to do a little of each, every day. Then nothing is so overwhelming.

To finish at least half of my wips, and to crochet something small every month at least.

I think my fiber arts resolutions are to put out at least 3 patterns, and to start exploring colorwork more! I have done really basic stuff but would love to learn how to do more complex colors as well

My goals are just to get better at tapestry crocheting and continue my shift away from pure amigurumi crochet (I’ve been crocheting for abt 5 years and only did amigurumi). I also want to make my first dress. My goal is before next Christmas which will give me a lot of time!
I also plan on expanding my small business and maybe do some markets in my area!

I want to create more patterns, get better at tapestry’s, learn the jasmine stitch, and make more plushies! I also would like to help my friend learn to crochet. I would love to make a temperature blanket, but we’ll see if that actually happens.

I’m going to learn to knit! I’m also hoping to crochet a formal dress by spring and get into clothes crocheting in general. If I get to it, I’d love to design a few patterns and try tapestry crochet.
