Hello everyone,
I have been thinking about making crochet pants or shorts. I have major sensory issues when it comes to itchy textures and little fuzzies. These sensory issues can be bad enough that I will reflexively gag or cry, and when I was younger, I would remove whatever clothing that was causing me issues no matter where I was. I am not sure what kind of yarn I should use if I am to make these pants. Should I even make them if my sensory issues are so bad? Would lining them help? I would like to avoid lining if possible, but I just wanna be able to wear clothes I make without hating how they feel texturally.
Thank you,
Zod/Jay

you could use a gauge and see how that feels and go off of that

I will be 100% honest, I don’t even know what a gauge is
Ive been crocheting for a little over a year and I have done no research on that.

it’s like a small square that you crochet to see if the measurements match, basically making sure the size chart works

I would recommend adding a lining on the inside of the pants or shorts. . don’t use red heart yarn, as people do say that it is itchy..if it really causes you trouble, maybe dont make them.
Good luck!

The least itchy yarn is probably 100%cotton yarn but just like @ericrochet said if it still itch sew in a fabric lining
