Crochet Shrug

I’ve been crocheting this shrug and I finished the front and back panels but when they are stitched together they are too tight on the arms! What should I do? I really don’t want to start over…

Undo the stitching holding them together, and add width based off the direction of the rows (if you can send a picture of the shrug I’ll be able to explain this in more detail)

So it’s one piece that you fold in half…

I’m also a little new to crocheting. It’s all double crochets.

So it’s the arm hole that’s too tight once you fold it?

BLOCK lT!!! (not trying to be rude, I just think that will fix it lol)

If its the armpit, add another row or 2 of the peachy brown on the front of the panel and on the back too. I dont know what size you are, but I am a bigger size, so I have to add an extra row or 2 on the back panel then what I have on the front panel to make it lay even on both sides.

I don’t know what blocking is

How would I add two to each side when the first row is all chains?

Yah the armpit is too tight when folded

Okay all you have to do then is attach your yarn to a corner like this

And add rows until it’s half the extra length you need.
Then repeat it on the other side

I agree with LuckyKnotofGold, just like the picture outline they made says and you can crochet in the beginning chain :sparkling_heart:

Hmmm, I’m not sure exactly what you mean

The amount of dc I did made the piece too long. It’s not the row anymore it’s the stitches.
