Crochet sweater

Does anyone have any good crochet sweater patterns? Preferably more masculine because I’m a man lol… my New Year’s resolution is to finally make a sweater but I’m not sure what pattern I should use. It can be from YouTube, here, or anything!

What style do you want? If it’s your first one, I recommend doing it in panels

Tbh I have no idea that’s why I came on here :sob: whatever is easiest but isn’t ugly? Like personally I most likely wouldn’t wear a granny square sweater. I don’t mind if it’s complicated or takes long, I plan on this being a year long project anyways

Ok, so this is a panel sweater (it’s the easiest)

I really never realize that that’s how you make a sweater :person_facepalming:

This is the pattern I used for my first one

It’s super customizable

That’s so pretty!

To make it more masculine, just make fit longer and make the sleeves less wide and you should be good to go

Thank you!! I’ll probably be using this. Do you have any good stitch ideas that would look nice?

Ooo thank you!

Yes I would agree granny squares are feminine, I appreciate men that wear masculine things
Let me see what I can find

Thank you!!

Since I’m here I’ll also ask, what do you guys recommend for yarn for a sweater? The Joann’s I go to is pretty far so I prefer to just order online but I don’t want to buy a itchy yarn or something :sob:

I love using Red Heart Soft.

My favorite acrylic is form hobby lobby. Is that close? I’m 2 min from a Joann but I don’t like big Twist. If you use Red Heart, you will have to wash it before you wear it because it is WAY too scratchy.

THAT EXISTS? (cs)

Here it is,

My actual favorite is Caron One Pound for amigurumi but it would be too scratchy for a sweater.
Also, you could use chenille or velvet and it would be SO soft.

I do not shop at hobby lobby for personal reasons :persevere: but I’ll see if I can find something similar!

Ok, like I said washing always helps.
