If it doesn’t work start again, maybe change something to make it easier for you (nobodies gonna know).
Count stitches, if in doubt, count again (mark stitches always helps). If you don’t know stitches someone will help you.
In any case, be patient and have faith in the “divinity of crochet”

thank you i have a crochet hook that has a stitch counter on it so that should help i also have tenstion rings

I can’t live without stitch markers and the round counter ring (that I also use as tension ring)
