Day 1 Komodo Dragon

I am hoping to make this into a series! I am also hoping to make some friends in the comments. My favourite animal is a Komodo dragon and I hoping the go to Australia Zoo in Summer and do an encounter with Indah the Komodo. Australia zoo is a fairly short drive from where I live and the Komodo encounters only open in November 4th. Indah is the only Komodo dragon in the world that you can pat without her being sedated. She is super friendly and my favourite living thing in the whole world. (Sorry Mum and Dad). I had all this blue yarn, so I decided to make her. :light_blue_heart::light_blue_heart:

I love komodo dragons so so much. I havent seen one in person, but when I was in Nevada last spring break, I saw a wild beardie in the desert. I really want a pet lizard, and I also really want a pet bird. They are all so cool and smart

Hope your dream comes true. I love dragons as much as I love my children. I would like to learn to create a Komodo dragon with you.

It looks great so far! May I ask, what pattern are you using/are you making your own pattern?

It’s going to look amazing! With my luck, I would be terrified that the time I pet Indah would be the one time she bites someone.

I had to remake it because I realised I wouldn’t have enough yarn. I went to spotlight today (Aussie Joann’s) and got this beautiful yarn which matches Komodo dragons way better!
For those who are wondering: Komodo dragons in a nutshell
Komodo dragons are the largest living lizard species, inhabiting a few volcanic islands in Indonesia. They are powerful predators, known for their large size, strong jaws, and venomous bite.

Key Features and Characteristics:

Size
Komodo dragons can reach up to 10 feet (3 meters) in length and weigh over 300 pounds (135 kg).

Venom:
Their saliva contains venomous toxins that can inhibit blood clotting and cause prey to go into shock.

Diet:
Komodo dragons are carnivores and eat almost anything, including carrion, deer, pigs, smaller dragons, and occasionally humans.

Habitat:
They live on a few islands in Indonesia, including Komodo, Rinca, and Flores.

Conservation:

This is just a brief of Komodo dragons, and over the next few weeks or so, I will be giving you fun facts about Komodo dragons! Also here’s a joke about Komodo dragons:
Q. What do you call a Komodo dragon that works at security?
A. A monitor lizard!

I hope I made you smile
