Hello! I’m prepping for a Day of the Dead event and was wondering if anyone had any more ideas for things to make? I saw someone use felt flowers behind the eyes which is a cute idea, I’ve made a little skeleton guy and a ghost so far.
Anyone else have more ideas or patterns? Please and thanks!
As a mexican, i approve of this. These are sooo cute!! One question i have, how do you get the eyes to go through the felt and the plushie? I tried it before, and they never did. You could use my sugar skull pattern! And i think in plush yarn, they would be super pretty!
Aaa thank you so much! I cut holes in the felt as wide as the shaft of the eye, and then added a little glue to the eye and pressed hard to get it to close! One layer wasn’t too bad, but the two layers almost didn’t click in to the base of the eye.
I also found pre-cut felt flowers that have a sticky back to them, which helps keep everything in place as I’m messing with the eyes. Just don’t pull off the backings until you have them where you want them, they are so sticky! (I think I got them at Walmart)
