I would like to share some patterns I have made with the community for free, however I am having trouble understanding if you have to pay a fee of some kind to ‘sell’ free patterns. I saw where it said you get charged a certain percentage for selling, but is that just based on the price you set your item for? I feel like I should understand this but I don’t and I would greatly appreciate someone helping me understand. Thank you

No, I do not think you are charged for sharing free patterns but tagging @Ribblr to be certain.

You pay a fee only when you sell a pattern.

@Ribblr so when you list it for example dollar you pay a fee, but if you list it for free you do not pay a fee?

Yes! it’s free to publish. I am doing a special this month with one new free pattern every Sunday for a week and i’ve had hundreds of downloads and have not been charged anything
