Do you Magic circle or ch2?

Hey teaaam!

Im so intrigued to know what other crocheters do! I don’t have a lot of people to ask but when you’re starting a project that requires a magic circle e.g MC 6 do you do that or ch2 and put the 6 in the first chain?

For me it depends on what type of yarn I use! For acrylic yarn I do the mc but for other types of yarn I do ch2!

I do mr normally, but when i am using fluffy yarn like chenille i do like this: i take a length of yarn (not fluffy yarn) and sc on that length of yarn and close it with some knots

I’m pretty sure chain 2 is easier when you use chenille, and then ig magic rings are just the standard?

I do magic rings, I live with them. I find the chain 2 difficult.

I prefer the magic ring, but not the yarn I often use, so usually ch 2

I normally magic circle, but the other day I was doing something and the MC was just not setting it up right, so I had to do the other thing to start. For a long time, though, I had to google videos on how to do the mc because I would always forget how to and I needed the visual.
