I do center because if you pull from the center then you don’t have to deal with having to throw the yarn across the room just to get yarn out.
But I will say that if you pull through the middle sometime you will get knots and even something you won’t be able to find the middle yarn start so I mean I do both but I would perfer in the center!

I do outside, I used to do center but it always messed up the skein of yarn.

I do both. It depends on of I actually find the string for the center or if I even feel like pulling it out because most of the time it knots up and I pull out giant balls of knotted up yarn I need to untangle

Centre. Easily. I’ve found out the easiest way to do it with a vid, I’ve been scared to do it ever since… the incident. Now I do it all the time!

Always outside or it ends up knotting and tangling out of control. I roll skeins into balls before starting projects too. I love my yarn bowls. They were one of those game changers for me. No more yarn tumbling across the floor.

I actually do both. If it’s just a skein them I pull from the outside, but if I caked it I pull from the inside!

I use plastic pitchers, or oatmeal containers. I might crochet and felt myself a yarn bowl though.
