Does anybody speed crochet?

I used to speed crochet, then one day my wrist started hurting. End of the story - I don’t speed crochet anymore haha

I can make a full/queen usually two weeks but this time I made it faster. I’m still on that last skein. That’s a pretty fast time with a queen size blanket. I think i’m slow at knitting. Nice blanket btw.

I’ve had injury from knitting too much 10 years ago. It’s better now. It hasn’t changed my speed or anything. It was all in my right wrist and hand. It’s very important to take breaks in between so you don’t have that problem. I even do work outs with my hands for a while there.

I change the way I hold my needles often so it’s not the same every time which helps. When I was younger I got in the habit of soaking my hands at a hot spring When I grew up I found out quickly how well that soothed my hands so between that and the heavenly hand rubs my Husband gives, I can stay focused and work faster. Thank you!

I’m glad you’re better. An old friend of mine had to have surgery on both wrists years ago. She was never able to crochet or knit again. The one who taught me to crochet was a neurosurgeon who went to my church.

You’re welcome.

That’s pretty interesting. I usually get a manicure and pedicure whenever I can do it. I love having my hands massaged. I was trying to massage my hand and wrist yesterday.

that’s actually so real
