I’m in Texas visiting some family friends and they have this crochet blanket, they didn’t make it. I was wondering if anyone knew what stitch it is.

It is a basket weave stitch. I made a queen sized blanket with that stitch.
It was so much fun but it did eat up a LOT of yarn.
It’s my mom’s favor blanket cause its heavy.
