Doll Hair Help!!!!

Hey guys! Hope everyone’s doing fine! Im crocheting this doll for my sis and have reached the hair part. How in the world do you attach it? I have a small amount of hot glue, but i don’t think it’s enough though. Do you guys have any ideas?? This is the first doll I’ve ever crocheted so im still learning. If you now some one who can help then please tag them. It means a lot to me. Have a nice day/night!

your doll looks adorable! i usually sew on the hair, but i guess you could use some textile glue instead. i wouldn’t recommend using hot glue though, it’s too heavy. if you need more help, let me know so i can screenshot these instructions from my pdf pattern. i believe that the explanation there is a bit easier to understand

Hi SofiG903,
The most comun methods are gluing or sewing. I recomend sewing the hair strands first, as shown in the video posted in this tread. Later pin the wig to the head and use running stitch to attach the wig to the head. Try to make small stitches and not too tight, so the wig does not show the stitch locations.
I hope this helps.

Maybe fabric glue or sewing :woman_shrugging: I’ve never made a doll before so I don’t really know, hot glue would probably make it crispy and hard, it could also come off more easily

By the way don’t worry about tagging me, you can always tag me!

For hair like that, I usually pin it in place and then attach it using sewing thread (I find it easier / neater than trying to use yarn to sew hair on).
