i was out shopping with my family earlier today, and found these Crafty crochet kits for only £4.99 each !! i saw them a few days ago, but wasn’t sure if i should grab one — i decided to buy this dragon one today because everything else in the set had basically sold out
the pattern isn’t my favourite, bc it starts each round with a chain and ends with a slip stitch… so if anyone else has tried this kit or a similar kind of pattern, does it make a difference if you skip those two steps? if it’ll ruin the final product, i’ll just stash the yarn away and use it for snakes

I don’t think skipping joining each round will change much! It’s just a different style of doing things :)

okay, thank you so much <3 i don’t really like how the slip stitch join looks in the end, so this is very relieving to hear

the slip stitch and chaining, I believe make the rows more in line with another. So entirely up to preference.

no problem, personally I don’t don’t do the slip stitch, chain 1 since the last and only time I tried, I added extra stitches accidentally

oh no, i can definitely see myself doing that as well — i try not to do it because the line it leaves behind bothers me quite a bit smh
