I just saw a video on this not too long ago, and I’ve been wondering the same thing! Little amigurumis would be easy, and book/laptop/tablet/phone/glasses sleeves (or pouches for whatever people have!). Wall decorations are also a fun idea, but could potentially be more involved - I think small flowers or other little objects like mushrooms or trinkets they like along a garland-like string could work up pretty quickly if you’re crocheting?

I made granny square keychains for most of my friends but i dont have a pattern sadly 
all i do is i make a 1-row granny square, then i add fringes and a keyring. I guess this can give you more detail: I just can't stop making these!
Depending on the people in your family a small fidget type toy?
I forget mine on the table and found out my dad likes fiddling with them.
The type made with those snap type hair clips are fun. I made no sew lizard and did bead eyes, and a clip in the body and did the arms as long curly corkscrews. (No pattern i kinda just winged it with the understanding on how these lizards are made)

Soda tabs that one crochets a frog over the tab or a cat. Clip on it for a key ring ,
I’m doing colorful whales and lots of coasters, maybe a couple of cozy mug (The Jacket for Mugs)
