(Extended!) Designers: Ribbuild Glow-Up! šŸ’œ Win: $250, 175K $elFee points, 6 Gems

Ok! Thank you! And I have one more question, are the winners randomly selected, or is it based off of how nice the pattern is?

Just a thought for those who want to enter in their pattern, want it tested, but don’t want to give less than a week for a test:

Send out the tester call this week. Tell everyone the pattern will be published by the 19th, but they don’t need to finish their test by then. Publishing a pattern doesn’t kick testers out of testing. The designer just can’t make changes to a published pattern. You can temporarily unpublish the pattern at the end of whatever longer testing period you specify to fix any additional mistakes that are found by testers after the 19th, then republish when ready.

You might also ask your testers to do a quick read through before the 19th so that any major flaws can be addressed before it’s published.

Here is mine! I am in the process of uploading my existing patterns to Ribblr and this is one of them! It was very easy to put in the instructions with the update.

This is what i am wondering. Because i start patterns as i have ideas… i dont want to make new ones right now from scratch to do before the ones i am making right now. And one week is a very short time to write, revise, test, and publish patterns, even small ones.

I already use the sizing feature for ami variations. I agree it’s a bit extra to set up, but when it’s done, it becomes so slick for makers to select the pattern variation they want and not have to search for what sections apply to them.

I’ve already suggested Ribblr change the ā€œsize" name to be more general to include variations. Its nice to see others would appreciate that feature too.

I want to start by saying that the changes made to the Ribbuild are absolutely fantastic, and it’s now really super simple and fast to write a pattern. It took me very little time to upload my pattern for the Chopper Cat Bandana, a bandana for my cat Luna inspired by Tony Tony Chopper’s hat. It’s an absolutely fantastic piece for both cat lovers and One Piece fans.
