We’ve completely reimagined the pattern-building experience, making it easier than ever to create patterns so you can focus on what you love most - coming up with new, incredible designs.
What’s new?
Our new Ribbuild is packed with a lot of awesome things:
New menus
With new menus and icons, it’s now much easier to find exactly what you need when you need it. From adding photos, videos and charts to finding and replacing a typo (we’ve all been there!) with just a click - Ribbuild’s got you covered.
Modern editing - introducing our toolbar
We removed noise and made it easier to focus on one line at a time. Click into a line and you’ll see a floating action toolbar with everything you need - line mode, media, hide sections, bulk actions, and more.
Help is right where you need it
We added new tours and tooltips, and the help center now lives inside the pattern so you don’t need to exit to find help.
Copy/paste a PDF into one line of Ribbuild
You can paste an entire PDF into a single Ribbuild line to quickly turn a traditional pattern into a fully interactive one. We’re working on full automation tools to make this even easier - stay tuned.

From easier materials management to simplified line moving - there’s lots to explore in the new Ribbuild. As always, our aim is to handle things like language translation and unit conversion for you so you can write patterns the way you want and trust that crafters can follow them confidently.

How can I join and win a prize?
Upload a brand new pattern and publish it in your Ribblr shop during the upload window mentioned above.
Can it be a pattern I already published elsewhere?
Yes - as long as it was never published on Ribblr before this upload, it’s eligible.
Can I add multiple patterns?
Yes - as long as they were never published on Ribblr before. Each pattern = an entry! More patterns, more entries.
How do you pick winners?
We’ll randomly select 10 winners from the pool of designers who published a new pattern during the upload window. Winners will be allocated their prize in the order they are drawn.
Can I win multiple prizes?
No. Each designer can win a single prize.
How will winners be notified and prizes delivered?
Winners will be announced in this topic and contacted via the email or PM. Please make sure your account notifications/email settings are on and up to date so we can deliver your prize.
