I canāt 
when I say my own pattern, I basically meant I winged it 
I get like that where I get an idea in my head, grab my yarn and hook and go for it. I might make crappy little notes but generally speaking, I donāt write formal patterns. Yetā¦this might be the year I start (only been crocheting steady for like 15 yrs 
)

ONLY 15??? Wow iāve been crocheting for 5 but started writing patterns in the middle of last year. Itās very rewarding I think!

Lolol I learned when I was 6 from my grams. Only ever mastered a chain, played around for years off and on, then when I had my 3rd baby, i made a hat for my then 6 yr old son, which everyone saw and wanted one and its been downhill ever since and that was 15ish yrs ago. Fun timesā¦

Oh were similar! My grandma also taught me as a kid. I didnt fully get into it until i had my first, when she was about 1! Though for me thats only about 4 years.
Hopefully one day my skills will develop enough to freehand as you do. Takes alot of skill/talent to just throw something together like that
