Hi everyone o/
Today my mom surprised me with a bunch of faux fur yarn! Ive never worked with it before. Does anyone have any suggestion/ patterns i could use? All i can think of are teddy bears :joy:

I used a different brand and my own pattern but heres how my highland cow came out. Seriously weighed a good 5 pounds you can also use it for details like wings

Oh wow it looks great!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: so adorable. I cant wrap my head around writing my own patterns, so always in awe of what people can do.

Did you double strand with a normal yarn or use just the fur?

Just the fur for the body and then the plush for the other bits. Its the joann big twist fur yarn. I did unwind it though and turned it into a 2 strand vs 3. Its also really cute yarn to use for birds

Oh nice! To be honest i was gonna double strand to make the visibility easier  i guess the project may turn out huge that way though.

Yes and no, if you are making like a pocket pet, double stranded, itxll be normal sized, if its like a normal sized item double stranded? Yea…it’ll be huge. But also depends alot on your tension and hook size use.
