Favorite yarns.

I was kinda interested what your favorite yarns are, what you use them for and why!
My favorite yarn is Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek, I use it for amigurumi and I like that its slightly thinner then the average 4 weight yarn!

I use Sweet snuggles lite! It’s super fluffy, although it sheds a lot. The colors it has are slightly limited (no green) but the colors they do have I LOVE! Also it’s the only yarn I can find in stores around me:sob: so I’m kinda stuck with it hehe. I make a lot of amigurumi and cute plushies with it :]

don’t have any specific brands/lines, but i do really like cotton. especially 100%. i can work with it for a lot longer than i can w/ acrylic because the texture doesn’t bother me nearly as much

rn i’m using it to make a 70x70 tunisian simple stitch square to use as a base for a cross stitch tapestry :DD

for amigurumi i like bernat blanket, but for the bag I’ve been working on im loving using mainstays anti-pillimg acrylic yarn. it’s super cheap and pretty soft too

I really like premier just chenille and honey bunny or baby snuggle from hobbii. I use sweet snuggles lite and chenille home slim sometimes but it’s a little thick for my usual projects. Recently I have loved big twist baby bear as well!:yellow_heart:

I also prefer 100% cotton :slightly_smiling_face:

Have you tried using tss to make tapestry crochet? I’ve been making a graphgan using it, and I love how clean the colour changes are.

i gave it a shot but couldn’t keep my tension right between color changes  so now i’m planning to cross stitch on top of a solid tss base

i’ll try it again sometime though! just takes practice

I struggled as well, but then I learned if you cross the yarn you were using over the yarn you’re changing to on the return pass, then the result is much more consistent.
This tutorial explains it better:

Hobbii Honey Bunny is really nice for amigurumis, its so soft and plush. I also really like Rico Chenillove because it is really soft, and it DOESN’T SHED! There is very limited color options, but i still like it.
The next yarn I want to try is Sweet Snuggles!

Bernat baby velvet- soft+thin
24/7 cotton- sooo easy to work with and smooth
Pound of love- soft for basic acrylic yarn
Loops and threads chenille home (slim)- 2 weights and nice colors
