Can someone please help me learn the feather stitch CROCHET STITCH not knitting. I’m using it for a pattern I’m testing and I need a simple way to explain it. Thank you!

Both of these tutorials are about as simple as it gets, I’m not sure there really is a concise way to phrase it even if the stitch is actually pretty simple
