February’s Monthly Challenge: Create or Make Inspired by ‘Pink & Red’! ❤️🌸

Get ready, Ribblrs - our new Monthly Challenge is here, and February’s theme is all about Pink & Red’!

How It Works

You can join the challenge in two fun ways:

  1. Create a Pattern: Design a brand-new pattern inspired by the theme. Whether it’s a cozy scarf, a cute plushie, a bold bag, or something totally unexpected, the choice is yours! Knit, crochet, or craft in any style you like - just let pink and red spark your imagination.
  2. Make a Project: Use any pattern on Ribblr to create a project that fits the theme. Add your personal touch with pink and red details.

How to Enter

  • For Pattern Creators: Share the link to your new pattern in the comments below, and tell us a bit about your inspiration.
  • For Project Makers: Post a journal of your project and drop the link in the comments below. We’d love to see your creative process!

The Prize

The entry with the most community votes - whether it’s a pattern or a project—will win a $50 yarn and fabric gift card to fuel your next creation. Plus, you’ll earn bragging rights as Ribblr’s first-ever Monthly Challenge champion! :tada:

How Voting Works

After submissions close, we’ll select 5 standout patterns and projects to feature in a community poll. During the voting period, you’ll get to cast your vote for your favorite entry!

Key Dates

  • Submit your pattern or project by: February 21st
  • Voting runs from: February 22nd to February 27th
  • Winner announced on: February 28th

Whether you’re crafting something practical, whimsical, or just plain fun, we can’t wait to see how you bring this vibrant theme to life. Let’s show the power of creativity in pink and red!

Ready, set, create! :sparkles:

Not sure I would have time for testing. Any of my usual awesome testers up for this? I could whip up something I’ve been thinking of anyway. :gift_heart:
EDITED to say this is fun!

@Ribblr Can we do both entry’s? Like one with someone’s pattern+our own pattern?

If I am a pattern creator, do I need to make a pattern or can I make something from someone else’s pattern?

I’m wondering this too. Hoping I can participate!
I wish I could have used my valentines gnome but that wouldn’t be allowed since I made it in previous months.

The pattern creator makes a pattern and a pattern user uses someone else’s pattern.

I know. My question is if I am a pattern creator can I do the Project Makers option??

OH…I hope so since I wasn’t planning to design something for this.

I believe that you can do either! Their just saying if you created a pattern for it to so and so!
