Fellow UK crafters; What is your fave brand of chenille style yarn (I dunno if chenille is the only type of 'fuzzy' yarn)?

I hear Premier Parfait (??) being used a lot on Youtube but, from what I’ve gathered, it’s not available in the UK. What’s your fave yarn to use that’s similar??

Premier parfait is the yarn your thinking of. I dont really use chenille yarn, I do use bernat velvet yarn! Its close to chenille yarn, I love it for my whale sharks and squids. Theres soo many options. There is also himilayin dolphin yarn, I personally havent used it before. I stick to more acrylic and cotton yarn, I do reccomened bernat velvet though.

Ahhh tyty! I have corrected the name
I shall look into the ones you mentioned  I’ve heard of Bernat but only on here had I heard of the Himalaya one… I didn’t realise it was available in the UK so I shall look into that too! Thank you for your recommendation

Your welcome! I dont know many chenille yarns, but bernat velvet is sooo amazing and such a good yarn. I do reccomened getting a lint roller, because the yarn tends to shed a lot

Hobbii honey bunny or baby snuggle is a great comparison to parfait chunky, although expensive I think it’s Denmark based and would ship to you.

I am from the UK too! It is quite difficult to find chenille and velvet yarn! My absoloute favorite is Aldi, they hikd craft events and alqays have tons of 4 pack chenille yarn, another one is hello love on amazon, they are more expensive then as it is about £5 for 1 ball whereas aldi is about £5 for 4 balls of the same colour. Hobby craft sell i think they are called flutterby chunky James C Brett but they are also more expensive, and this in my opinion is more like velvet yarn. Aldi also has the least fluffy bits fall off- i think this is called pilling but unsure - and is cheaper.
I hope this helps you, i think aldi are having a craft event next month and they are not online ordering. Good luck finding chenille yarn

I do have a snoop on Hobbii every so often but never actually purchased anything from them. Possible customs fees pt me off… I like to know exactly how much I’m paying when I’m at checkout  Are their yarns worth the possible extra cost? Because I love their colour ranges!

I went to Hobbycraft yesterday and picked up some of the Flutterby stuff! I’ve used it before and I like it… but the colour selection was pretty poor unfortunately. Hence the making of this post lol. I’ll have a peep on WoolWarehouse and see if they stock it.
I’ve never thought to look in Aldi though! Our nearest one is a Lidl and they’ve never had yarn available whenever we’ve popped in… but then again, we very rarely go there. Maybe I’ll sign up to their newsletter or something?? That should tell me of craft events, right??

I order from there, but live in the US so on orders of 100 USD i get free shipping. I would say their yarn is worth it, but i highly suggest waiting till Honey Bunny or Baby Snuggle goes on sale. They have weekly and monthly rotating sales that makes the price per skein much more reasonable, especially if you like ordering in bulk.

Personally, they have some of the best chenille yarn, but I dont buy it unless its on sale (usually arpund 40 percent off the price for me when they go on sale).
