Hey Ribblrs!
Firstly, if you have not been keeping up with my recent updates and announcements, do check ribblr-yarn!
Today I have a an exciting reveal for you!
Not long ago, 94% of you voted YES for having @ribbot on our yarn label. (and he is DELIGHTED
)
The most important thing for me is that our yarn label feels truly Ribblr. Something we can all be proud of.
That means Ribbot, of course, but also fun colors, the positivity of our community, and the playfulness of our brand- it all has to shine through our yarn.
well… we have not waited around.
During this last few weeks, we have worked hard to bring our vision to life. This is a team effort - always ![]()
We are working closely with a team of talented designers who know Ribblr so well, and helped us bring things like our new logo and Yummy Friends to life.
We are already thinking about the future too - cute little icons for wool and faux fur, and other unique details that are truly Ribblr.
I do want to pause and say I am in awe watching our talented designers work their magic and use their creative skills, just like we all do with yarn. I feel very privileged that we can commission work from real artists to help bring our vision to life. Things like this or our animated Ribbot, and of course our postcards (shoutout to the lovely @RueBriiFiber) - they may seem small but they make me so proud.
Anyway! I digress. ![]()
Ready for the big reveal?
Before you say it… yes - it’s a little tricky to envision it wrapped around a skein of yarn. But we’ll share that soon, too.
Oh and please do not get upset with me as I am not quite ready to reveal the yarn names yet, so forgive me for blurring those out… but I will be sharing more soon!
The last thing, and possibly the most exciting thing I can share today is…
We are planning to launch THIS YEAR.
And this is 100% thanks to you. Our amazing community.
With your feedback and support, we are able to double down and move quickly. That is what makes this yarn so special. It brings together our community, our team’s know-how, and so many talented people across manufacturing, sourcing, design, and more.
No official date yet, but if all goes well it should be in the last quarter of 2026.
No poll this time, but I am really curious…
What’s your go-to colors for your crochet/knit projects?
The colors you always stock up and love to use?
