Ummmm so the poster can see when their post is flagged? I saw in the chat that someone saw their post was flagged, but I thought flagging was just between the person that reports and Ribblr/ leaders until an action was taken⌠I understand itâs anonymous, but I didnât realize people can see when itâs flagged
I think they only see it once an action has been taken, like it was temporarily hidden or closed but it has to have a multitude of flags from different people before that even happens
That wasnât how it sounded in the chat, but ok
I donât have the general chat, but I can assure you that it was in the content guidelines that actions would be taken only after multiple flags have been logged. And the action will have who performed the action (team member, the system, or a leader)
But that doesnât say whether the original poster sees that it was flagged⌠I guess it doesnât matter much, was just confused
correction, content guidelines is where it says it
they will see an action, the same way we see an action âthis topic has been hidden due to multiple flags by the communityâ but that could be hours or days later and there is no way for the person that posted it to know when the flags happened, who flagged it, or how many flags were made. But it has been noted by ribblr, that it is not one flag or one person reporting and it is rarely automatic and instant. Look how long it takes to get inappropriate pictures removed. Just because someone thinks it, does not mean it happened that way.
Hi @OBabyNMore ! generally it depends on who flags it (i.e if itâs a Regular/Leader) and what the flag is. A person wouldnât know who or how many have flagged but depending on the above they might be alerted about the flag.
So what would be examples of when they would be alerted vs not being alerted? (Obviously once the post has an action, but based on the chat it seems like they were alerted before action was taken)
A multiple flags of spam, for example should make the post hidden automatically and the user alerted.
Alright, thanksâŚ
