I am prone to hand cramps after I’ve been crocheting for a while, so I decided to make a foam add-on for any size crochet hook(except for maybe the really small micro hooks). It worked very well and was just what I wanted. The foam I used was closed cell polyethylene foam, but any other firm foam would probably work, that was just what I had. I made it about an inch shorter than the hook.
