Hello, everyone! Here’s another fun pattern - oval tapestries!! I really wanted to make more wall tapestries that weren’t JUST square/rectangular, and I thought a Van Gogh-style flower “painting” would look super cool <3 the pattern is free, and explains how to create the oval base, the frame-like border, and TWO types of flower appliques which can be sewed onto the base. The pattern also has some general tips like how to add a dowel for hanging, and how to block tapestries, etc.
Happy craftin!

She’s been super into Van Gogh for the past couple of years so I just know she’ll be over the moon. I’ll post a journal when I do it

I loved Van Gogh when I was studying art history such an amazing, talented artist.

Yeah, so many pretty sunflower pictures too. We learnt about him semi regularly at school.

Yes, but makes me sad, he was a tortured soul.

From what I heard in my classes, less so than books would have us believe. His story has been largely exagerated.

Could be true, maybe not. Most likely a grain of truth in there. Would be best if we could read sources closer to his time frame AND anything he wrote down himself.
