Hello, everybody. I have a serious question. How do you keep hair out of your crochet? (I know it happens so don’t be embarrassed) Because even when I have my hair up it sometimes sneaks in. If there is no possible way to avoid it, how do you get it out? Cuz I know my technique sucks. Thank you guys so much!

I put my hair in a slick back bun

umm, so like i really don’t, i have this problem too.
recently, i’ve started market prepping, and i make sure to do a slick back or a tight ponytail, to just try to be as professional as possible with my crochet

I always pull my hair back before I start with a hair tie, ribbon, some yarn (I feel like Violet Baudelaire getting started on a project) and sometimes I put on a bandana in addition to that. I have cut my hair a bit shorter, but it is still long enough to fall over my shoulders and lightly touch my biceps and freak me out a bit. I don’t do light touches.

It’s nice to put it in a bun and then sometimes I also put a hoodie on.

Id say the most important thing for me is paying attention where I place my yarn, usually the hair doesn’t come from my head directly but off surfaces/clothes onto my yarn
Like if it fell on the ground it’s game over xD
Also I can feel the weird tension of a hair strand while crocheting so if I notice it getting tangled in the stitches I just undo those last few ones as I’m working and take it out
Also sometimes I ignore them but that’s my lil secret no-one has to know

I just watch where my hair is, and try not to crochet it in my project.

yikes, there is not a single thing I’ve made without my hair in it…

That just shows it was made with love and effort (right?)

Suggestion would be to lint roll wherever you set your yarn at cause chances are that there’s hair laying around there.
