In 2023 made hats so my wife and I could beBert and Ernie from Sesame Street! We wear them every chance we get. This was a freehand project and I tell you it took me three tries to get the shape of Bert’s head just right! :warning:

GIVEAWAY - now for the best part, after a long hiatus while I moved to another state and did lots of other stuff, I’m back to designing on Ribblr! :tada: Let’s celebrate with a giveaway now and I’ll have new patterns coming out later this month!

At least 13 winners - each winner gets a single pattern OR ONE BUNDLE from my shop for you AND A FRIEND on Ribblr.

Thanks there weren’t any good patterns available so I had no choice, sometimes ya just gotta freehand! But I learned to crochet before the internet so I grew up doing that. :wink:

:avocado::avocado: yum avocados, they are so delicious and cute. :heart_eyes:
Ha luckily the hats weren’t any harder than a plushie. This summer I crocheted a top in lace weight yarn! It took a long time but it was worth it, I love wearing it. But I agree, I usually stick to accessories since they are so much faster than an entire garment.

really? I made a ā€œhatā€ as one of my first projects. With on and off crocheting it took around two years for me to finally finish it. I don’t know if it could be called a hat though…also in the middle of that one I started making a beanie which to this day is still unfinished and probably collecting dust somewhere in the house lol

LOL I’ve been crocheting for decades so believe me, I’m sure I have some UFO skeletons in my closet, too. :skull: I think the best thing about crafting is you can make things you enjoy making. If you don’t like making garments, then there are a thousand other things you can focus on. :slightly_smiling_face:

I absolutely love how cute you and your wife look in the Bert and Ernie hats! I love to see adult creators live their best life as being a part of the queer community, it is really inspiratory for me as a kid being a part of the LGBTQ+. It gives me hope that I can be who I want to be in society and that it is alright to be different, so thank you. I like all the designs you have been making in your shop, and your shop should get a lot more credit because there were so many designs that I thought were really cute. If I did win, which, if I did that would be amazing, I would either want the Summer Fun bundle or your Christmas Cheer Bundle. Please and Thank You! Don’t stop crocheting, you’ve got some real talent, and you should keep on keeping on

Someone that I saw who is really cool that should win is @ShortClarice

Aww thanks so much @GingerSnap0309! Yes absolutely be true to yourself.
:rainbow_flag::transgender_flag:
it can take a while to figure out what that means for you and to find a safe place to express it. :smiling_face: I didn’t really get there til my 30s but finally listened to myself, then met my wife and we have been so happy. It is possible but can take a lot of work and time to get there so hang in there and keep being you!
Thank you so much for the compliments on my work, I love creating cute things!
