guys mmmm....

i’m so bummed out. two of the birthday presents i tried making didn’t turn out right and that’s not happened in a while. (the fact that something i crocheted didn’t work) i lost yarn chicken on the first one and on the other one my innovative idea failed me. so patterns are gonna be a little longer in the future. rn i’m working on a custom for someone of jax (if u saw my post abt kinger you would know why i’m not posting a pattern for tadc stuff). and then after that i’ll prob have something but i don’t know. i’m feeling rly drained of ideas and just don’t have motivation. i might publish an impromptu pattern for the thing ribblr posted. but i can’t promise any sort of quality.
welp, thanks for listening to my rant. if u have any ideas for motivation, or just creative ideas, i’ll try to read them all. thank u in advance :wilted_flower:

on second thought, i might be depressed eheh

You don’t have any motivation for crocheting?

Whenever I want to genuinely crochet, but don’t feel like it, I like to go outside (if it’s a sunny day) and crochet. Maybe bring some music, for me seeing something beautiful helps me do it.

For example, whenever I need to clean my room but I don’t want to, I go to pinterest and look and ā€œclean roomā€ pins. I don’t know why but it just helps, lol. Or look up some crochet motivations on pinterest.

And also for christmas I got like little wooden basket outlines to crochet, but I couldn’t get my hook in the little holes! I still haven’t figured it out, lol. It did make me feel kinda sad though.

How I get motvated to crochet genuinely is to, well, do you have any pets? I crochet my pets. Or sometimes I go outside and look around. If I see a animal or thing that looks like it would be fun to make, I make it.

I’m so sorry to hear that, I’ve actually just gotten out of my longest crochet slump recently, it was from about January all the way to late March, I really just had no motivation and was honestly doom scrolling to pass the time. For me, what helped me get out was having something specific to work on, or finding something to motivate me.

I have a market coming up in May I need to prepare for

I got an order that I needed to get done

I’m making baby shower gifts for a friend

And I also looked at a list I had made of things I’ve always wanted to crochet and picked small and acomplishable things from said list

I’d recommend finding a small but cute pattern and making at least 1, whenever I do that it for 1 boosts my mood and for 2 encourages me to make more or to make something else.

Again, I’m sorry you have no motivation but you got this!! Feel better!!
