heyo! ive been drawing for a couple years now though my ability has improved slightly and i’m really happy with my ability for anatomy and stuff, theres one stupid thing that always trips me up.
Hair.
i dont want to show any art pieces cause im not a huge fan of them, butttt I have a very odd style somewhere between realism and stylized. i want a more stylized way of doing hair, and i’ve heard a lot of advice but i always struggle! it’s especially tricky for someone like me with a lot of curly haired OC’s to make it stylized!
i need help, advice, pretty much anything you can offer! thank you!

I usually use Pinterest as an example, or if I’m doing a pose I have a reference picture of what I’m thinking about doing and using the reference picture for the basic shape, and I then get creative with it.
That’s what I did with this drawing (above), I used a reference picture I had my sisters do it and I used the basic shape and got creative. It does take practice, but this is what I do.
