You’re really good!!! They look awesome!!
I love the squids
Thank you i havent sewn in years but it used to be my main hobby
Thank you! If i was any good at making patterns id try to recreate them in crochet maybe one day
Omg…homestuck plushies aaaa so many memories
Ooo I love them! I want to get into sewing but sewing machines seem so daunting to me, I have to make some time to start practicing again
I couldnt even remember the names of the plushes other than the smuppet but it is very nostalgic lol
They are a bit daunting maybe why i mostly hand sewed. But its worth it for sure, i made quite a few costumes with a machine back in the day. I wish you luck in your practice! Itd be awesome to see more sewing projects on here
Really impressive!
WOW!! Is it true you hand-sewed these? How did you do it? I really want to start sewing plushies!
Yep, all hand sewn! Its been at least over ten years since ive done this. The only suggestions i really have is to find an inexpensive material you like and a simple pattern online to practice with. Most of these are fleece. I think i used a back stitch and overstitch mostly. But you can find directions for stitches and that online! Once youve gotten the basics down and done some different work its not too hard to make yiur own patterns.
could you suggest a giant free plushie pattern? for a beginner to start with? sorry and thanks
Free Sewing Guide! Starter Pack Plush Pattern – Sew Desu Ne? i found this! Its not huge, but the free guide seems to be really detailed in everything youd need to know to get started. Its a pillow type plushie!
just what I was looking for! thank you so so so much!! <3
No problem! Good luck getting into sewing id love to see your finished plush!
I actually found the old toothless pattern too if youd want it.
I’ll definetly share a picture if I actually get started lol! and for the pattern- yes please!!!
The toothless!!
Love them, they are so cute
Guess this means I need to actually use my sewing machine soon
