So I’m doing this giant cow pattern, and I am really confused on how to attach the legs to the body. I need to crochet them on and not sew them on. If anyone has done this pattern or can help me by looking at what the pattern says to do, it would be SUPER helpful <3

Here are some pictures from the pattern regarding the legs

Here is the body so far that I crochted:
And here is one of the legs I crocheted:
Why I’m struggling with this is because when I crochet them on, it makes it so that if I continue crocheting the body I would go over the rest of the leg. ( if that makes sense ). I know I’m probably doing it wrong and I feel dumb now
But I need help fast because I need this done by tmrw for mother’s day
Also sorry if what I’m asking is confusing I don’t really know how to explain my problem very well…
THANK YOU

im working on a pattern like this rn! what i did on mine was you go through the st (or stiches, since its not closed off) then go through the stich in the round and make a sc through both! if this doesnt help or is too confusing, messaging the creator always helps!!

Yes I crocheted through the body stitches and the leg stitches, but when I do it the body will eventually overlap the leg ( this is hard to explain.. )
Here is a picture of what it kinda looks like when I attach the leg, except i took the leg off so its not actually attached right now.
I can’t tell if you can see where the body would go over the leg if I keep crocheting rounds..
I’ve done patterns like this before, but idk why I’m struggling with this one!

I’m almost positive the part on the top of the body ( pointy part ) is generally where I’m supposed to attach the head

Here I have pictures of the round where I attach the legs, and a couple rounds later where it overlaps the legs:

It might work if you like out the leg on the other side of the stitches, and out the hook through the stitches on the leg first (or opposite idk which way you were doing it).

Thank you guys for help, but I think I might just pivot and sew the legs on because I’m stressing to get this done in time..
Again Thanks so Much!!
