hello everyone! my mom recently got some uarn she really liked and asked me to make her a beanie and ear warmers from it. it’s bernat blanket yarn, and my biggest hook is 8mm. i attempted to make the beanie today, but it turned out like wayy too small. small enough for my younger brother (who’s not even 10) what should i do? does anyone have any patterns for a beanie i should use? i could really use some help here. thanks!

only sewing was stitching the top closed

if so, ch more then slst or sc or hdc more depending on which is small, the circumference or height

I have this same problem everytime I make beanies. I usually make rectangles and then sew them. Is that what you did? Recently I made a beanie starting from the top, which I found easier. It was harder to make the size right when I did the rectangle. I recommend starting from the top.
