Hii! So I’m working on a new pattern, and once I finished, I realized how terribly uneven the bottom was. I’m not sure if it’s just how I set up the stitches, but I tried so hard to keep it even on both sides, and it came out like this. I’m not sure if it’s just because I slipped up with the neck placement, but I reaallly don’t want to test it so messy. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate it. One side of the belly is just super tall and the other side is super low. It looks baddddd.
(It could just I messed up the pattern, and not because of some weird crochet glitch, but I’d still appreciate tips
)

I really really wish I could help, but I’m not sure exactly what happened… it might just be a tension issue or sometimes color changes tend to move forward st by st as you go
It really doesn’t look bad from the side view but I get that that’s frustrating
Here’s a link I found for color changes that don’t slant, I’ve never watched it before but I hope it’s helpful! Source: YouTube https://share.google/rFYWnQAUdwHFQTLKo

Did you check to see if the pattern used a different yarning technique (yarn over or under) from whichever you used? Sometimes using yarn over when the designer used yarn under can result in colour changes looking more slanted.

Almost every single pattern that I do, I have to adjust the count because of my tension. The facial features or anything that would be centered is always off for me. I wish I knew how to fix my tension without having to adjust every pattern. Is it possible that this is just a tension problem on this one?

I would go look at the rounds and make adjustments. The reason this happens is when working in the round your line goes diagonal. Because of increases and decreases. Its way more noticeable when you change colors. I would make a note on your pattern to adjust tension and color changes if needed.
