Help needed fo beach wrap

Hi All! I need help with pictures! I created a beach wrap pattern and I need pictures of it actually being worn. I’m a 50 year old mother of 2 and don’t want to be a beach model!

In my original post, I used AI on my body (did NOT use AI in the wrap itself) to show it worn. I forgot we cannot use AI in our pictures.

Can I please get volunteers to make this and share photos of it being worn? The pattern is posted for free!

Oh, that’s a shame, I would have liked to do it, but I don’t want to share my body or my face on the app…..

Same! I can hide my face but the body is kinda needed to show the wrap

i tried on a hanger and lying flat but both look awful. It doesn’t show how the wrap cuts across the chest and opens at the leg. I put careful thought into both of those when I made the pattern.

I really need a volunteer to make/model this. None of my friends are willing to have a bathing suit photo online, and I don’t blame them. I’m really stuck and in need of a volunteer.:sob:

AI can be used in backgrounds, to my knowledge, just not the item itself. I think the point of ā€œno AIā€ as a rule is to avoid having AI generated patterns and fake items put up in Ribblr for sale.

Many of us designers use AI to some extent for backgrounds, be it to remove our own homes from the image and still have a nice setting, to do a transparency filter, etc.

I understand what you’re saying, but Ribblr makes the rules and I had to remove the images. They provided suggestions, which was nice, but unfortunately those aren’t working out.

Ah. That’s unfortunate :frowning:

You could potentially reach out on Ravelry too? There’s a larger base of 18+ crocheters there than on Ribblr.

If you used portrait mode on your phone that would solve a lot of issues. It blurs the background and you can erase whatever is in the background that is needed to be erased as well, but portrait mode is also allowed and you can also crop your head out of the photo. The pictures don’t actually show anything inappropriate or that would be unsafe for work so to speak. Even with a body of multiple pregnancies, this coverup is incredibly flattering and portrait mode on your camera will do you favors that are also allowed for ribblr because it is simply a portrait picture. The pattern isn’t altered and you aren’t being altered beyond whatever your camera automatically takes.

Thanks for the suggestion. We did try portrait mode in the original photos but had no luck. :frowning:

Honestly I’m fine with whatever would show how the wrap fits

I completely understand. Any help would be appreciated, so time doesn’t really matter

Yeah, honestly that’s why I thought it was fine. ā€œAIā€ is such a broad term, and it’s used so much that people don’t even know they’re using it. I thought the image was ok because AI was NOT used on the wrap, itself. So the item is not changed at all in the photo.

My hobby is causing me stress!

I can relate  Good pictures are also a stress point for me. Also why I will not make clothes. I’m outgoing in a lot of ways, most ways, but not putting pictures of myself in ceochet up.

That… and the one time I crocheted a cardigan it wound up being like a 3x somehow instead of closer to just an oversized L :joy:

Oh that’s a bummer. Me and portrait mode are besties. I erase the junk out the background too. Mom of 4 so I understand the mom bod swimsuit thing. I would just get my teenager to do it if I could crochet that fast but it will take me far too long to make it. And I don’t know how to sew a lining.

It really is beautiful and this is something I would actually use.
